I start work before the sun rises each day to ensure that every pastry is as fresh as possible before it gets to my clients or to the farmers markets. The warm smell of baking breads, cakes, and sweets never escapes my home. A love and passion for baked goods goes in to everything that is made in this pastry kitchen. Every special occasion or just a cozy morning or evening would be a magical place with my French inspired fancy comfort breads and treats. As Chef and owner of The Duchess Pastry Kitchen, I also bring my professional Culinary degree and training to help make everything baked with knowledge and skill. For special or happy cozy days ahead please let me show you my love for pastry’s buy making you something special!
All breads and pastries are made by hand from scratch. I work with local suppliers to source the freshest and most authentic ingredients, and use old-fashioned techniques to ensure the highest quality. The goal is to make your tastebuds happy!
I was raised on a farm in Vermont . Where produce tasted wonderful . Stores and restaurants were never right around the corner. The knowledge you get by spent days sitting and helping in a kitchen. I have learned from many generations of women in my life that know how to make all foods and pastry’s right and with love. Then I came to sunny days in AZ and had a hard time finding pastry’s that tasted good and tasted like what I grew up with . I found the way to get good treats and that was to seach out the right fresh ingredients and make them myself, and to ask for many Centuries old recipes that are tried and true! I also envested my time to get a professional Culinary degree. I can also say that all my years spent in the kitchen with my Grandmother’s help me to get through my training with all A’s, very happy about that. I am now able to share my passion with the rest of the world as a Chef and I specialized in pastries. I love the French style of pastries, I grew up with the farm French style of cooking and later train professionally in French Culinary cuisine. I guarantee that my pastry kitchen will be full of treats made full of knowledge, great flavors, and Love!
